35% decrease in spring rains in Iran
WANA (May 9) – In an interview with one of the domestic media, Mr. Vazife, the head of Iran’s Drought Crisis Management Center, announced that this year’s spring rains show a 35% decrease in rainfall compared to the long-term.
“We do not have a good spring at all in terms of rainfall,” said Mr. Vazife.
According to the Iranian authorities, the effects of low precipitations are almost the same as in previous years, and only the water condition of Zayandeh Rood has improved compared to last year.
It seems that the air temperature in summer will be different and hotter than last year.
