Israel seeks to provoke Iran into a big war

General Mohammadreza Zahedi, one of the senior Iranian commanders of the resistance front, was martyred in the attack of Israel on the consular section of the Islamic Republic of Iran embassy in Damascus this evening.

Israel targeted the Iranian consulate with six missiles. General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the commander of the Quds Forces in the Syrian and Lebanese branches, and two other senior commanders from this branch were the targets of this attack.
According to preliminary statistics, a total of 7 people were present in the consulate and were martyred. The ambassador and his family were not harmed.

In this interview, the ambassador of Iran announced that Iran will definitely take revenge, and this revenge will be accompanied by caution and vigilance but hard and painful. “Naturally, the Islamic Republic of Iran, as before, will respond to this action of the Zionist regime with the same amount of this crime.”
The Syrian Ministry of Defense also issued a statement announcing that at around 17:00 this evening, the Israeli enemy targeted the Iranian consulate building in Damascus from the side of the occupied Syrian area of Golan.
According to this statement, this attack led to the destruction of the entire building and martyred and injured all the people inside. The work to remove the bodies of the martyrs, treat the injured, and remove the debris continues.
Following this attack, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, Faisal Moqdad, contacted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Hossein Amirabdollahian. In this phone call, the two ministers discussed the different aspects of this crime. The Syrian Foreign Minister condemned the criminal attacks of Israel in the strongest terms and considered it a gross violation of international regulations, especially the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
“Attacking the Iranian consulate is a violation of all international obligations and conventions,” Said Amir Abdullanian, Iran’s minister of foreign affairs.
An hour after the news of the assassination of several Quds forces by the Israelis in Damascus, Tehrani citizens gathered in Palestine Square and demanded severe revenge against Israel by the Iranian government. When we asked Muhammad, one of the participants in this gathering, what kind of response to Israel do you have in mind, he said:”We must have a serious answer to this attack like the answer we gave during the assassination of General Soleimani (attack on the American military headquarters in Iraq. Ain al-Assad), and this answer must reach the ears of the whole world.”
