This satellite is going through the last stages of the process of stabilizing its optimal performance in space. Commands and controls of “Khayyam” satellite are sent by the experts of Iran in the “Iranian Space Organization”.

 

The Iranian satellite “Khayyam” was launched into space by a Soyuz rocket from Baikonur space station in Kazakhstan in a joint cooperation with Russia.

 

Improving productivity in the field of agriculture, accurate monitoring of the country’s water resources, managing natural hazards, monitoring changes in land use, unauthorized constructions and dealing with deforestation, monitoring environmental hazards, monitoring mines and mineral discoveries, monitoring the borders of the country and many other applications, including applications The data will be received from “Khayyam” satellite.

This satellite is a measurement type and has a high accuracy of imaging, with images with a resolution of one meter. In addition, this satellite is capable of imaging the earth’s surface in different image spectra.

 

The “Khayyam” satellite is under the sovereignty and operation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it will be guided and controlled from ground stations in the territory of Iran, and the information and images sent by it will be received at these stations.

 

It should be noted that due to the heavy weight of this Iranian satellite, its launch has been entrusted to the Russian Space Agency to be launched into space by the Soyuz satellite carrier and put into orbit.
