WANA (May 21) – Regarding the terrorist attack and the killing of 5 Iranian soldiers in Saravan, Sistan, and Baluchistan province, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the martyrs of the terrorist attack in Saravan and the government of Iran.

 

Continuing its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan emphasized the need for mutual efforts to eliminate terrorism on both sides of the border.

 

“We consider the Iran-Pakistan border a border of peace and friendship, and we are still committed to cooperation with Iran in this direction.”

 

The Iranian government repeatedly warned the Pakistani side about terrorist groups near Iran’s borders. During the past years, the Pakistani government has promised to improve border security, but the Iranian side continues to witness the presence of terrorist groups and terrorist attacks from Pakistan.
