Saudi Arabia announced its new ambassador in Tehran.

WANA (May 11) – Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian said Saudi Arabia announced its new ambassador in Tehran on Tuesday, and we will notify our new ambassador in Riyadh soon.

 

“My colleagues have been trying for several weeks to get our embassy and consulate general ready to reopen. They told me they would finish it in the coming days. Of course, when it is ready, the embassy will reopen.” Iran’s foreign minister said.

IRAN & SAUDI ARABIA RELATIONS

Iran and Saudi Arabia are two Middle Eastern countries with different political systems, religious beliefs, and regional aspirations. Iran is an Islamic Republic with a Shia Muslim majority, while Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy with a Sunni Muslim majority. The two countries have a long history of rivalry and competition for regional dominance.
