Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Baqeri held talks with Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi in Doha on Wednesday.

Baqeri in this meeting underlined the two countries’ resolve to boost regional stability.

He also said that sustainable peace and stability in the region require serious resolve for the creation of necessary infrastructures for development and progress in all regional countries.

If peace and stability are not followed by development and progress, they will be temporary and unstable, he added.

The Qatari official, for his part, referred to the growing ties between Tehran and Doha and said the two sides are always partners in the peace and stability of the region.

During his trip to Doha, Baqeri also held talks with the EU deputy foreign policy chief, Enrique Mora.

He wrote in a tweet later that he had constructive talks with the EU official.

“We exchanged views about a range of issues, including the negotiations on the removal of (the anti-Iran) sanctions,” he added.
