Mehrabian, The Minister of Energy of Iran:
“Following the president’s particular order to determine and assign the water issue in the east of the country, a meeting was held yesterday with the presence of the relevant institutions on this issue. According to the reports presented in this meeting, the Taliban government has committed to implementing the Hirmand Treaty and paying Iran’s water rights based on this treaty.”

Recently, Dr. Raisi, the president of Iran, ordered the issue of Iran’s percentage of Hirmand water to be pursued seriously.

 

“The government has defined serious steps to provide Hirmand water resources, and based on the planning, we will collect Iran’s water rights from the Hirmand River,” Mehrabian said
