WANA (Mar 01) – The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi will visit Iran on Friday for high-level meetings. The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will meet and talk with the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran(AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, on Saturday.

The visit of the Director General of the IAEA takes place a few days before the quarterly meeting of the Board of Governors, which is scheduled to begin next Monday.

The visit comes amid discussions with Tehran on the origin of uranium particles enriched to up to 83.7% purity, very close to weapons grade, at its Fordow enrichment plant.

Iran has rejected these claims and believes that this was the mistake of the agency’s reporter and that the issue can be resolved technically and without a political perspective.

Ulyanov, the permanent representative of Russia in international organizations, wrote on Twitter that the issue of Iran’s 84% enrichment was successfully resolved.
